My boyfriend and I were on a date around Isu and stopped by Raymond Isu Branch for pizza and beer for dinner.
I usually love pizza, so while looking up pizza-and-beer spots near Isu I found this place — I got curious when I saw they had a set that lets you try a bunch of different pizzas at once.

Where is Raymond Isu Branch, and is it an easy walk from Isu Station?
Raymond Isu Branch is at 33 Dongjakdae-ro 23-gil, 1st floor — an easy spot to reach if you're already dating around Isu Station, so getting there wasn't hard at all. There are a lot of restaurants and bars clustered nearby, so it's also nice to wander around before or after the meal. Chatting and walking slowly with my boyfriend, we got there pretty quickly.

We visited in the evening, and there were quite a few people around enjoying meals or drinks. If you're meeting someone near Isu Station, I think it's a solid spot to go from dinner straight into a casual drink.

What is the interior of Raymond Isu Branch like?
Walking into Raymond Isu Branch, the overall vibe was comfortable and casual. It wasn't too formal, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal on a date with my boyfriend.

It also seemed like a great spot for friends to come together for pizza and a beer.

Raymond Set, 49,900 won: what comes with it and how much food is it?
Sitting down and looking over the menu, there were so many kinds of pizza that I couldn't decide. Picking just one felt like a waste, so it was perfect timing that they had the Raymond Set, which lets you try several kinds.
Raymond Set / ₩49,900

The Raymond Set is enough for 2–3 people. It's set up so you get one slice of every pizza on the menu, for 4 slices total, served on a 20-inch half tray.
It also comes with sausage, truffle fries and assorted sauces, so it was quite generous even for two people.

What I liked most was being able to try several kinds of pizza at once. Normally at a pizza place you have to pick just one or two menu items, so being able to get a slice of each was great for a first visit. My boyfriend and I had fun tasting each other's slices and picking our favorites.

Each pizza tasted different, so every slice felt like a new experience.

The dough and toppings were also different from slice to slice, so I think it'd suit anyone who wants to try a little of many things.

Truffle fries and sausage: the sides in the Raymond Set
The truffle fries that came as a side went great with the pizza. There was a subtle truffle aroma, giving them a different flavor from plain fries.

Having sausage alongside made the whole spread feel even more substantial.

Assorted sauces came out too, so you could dip according to your taste.
Blueberry ale, 8,500 won: does it pair well with Raymond's pizza?
Blueberry Ale / ₩8,500

We ordered beer along with the pizza, and I had the Blueberry Ale. It's a beer with a subtle blueberry aroma, and it felt refreshingly different paired with pizza.

After the salty, savory taste of the pizza, a sip of the Blueberry Ale brought a bright, sweet aroma that paired really well.

Sharing slices of pizza and beer with my boyfriend while chatting made for a perfect dinner date. If you want more than just a meal — some good food alongside beer — this is a great place to visit.

Is Raymond Isu Branch good for lunch, and when is the best time to go?
The set is light enough to enjoy comfortably at lunch too, so it seems like a good option if you're looking for a pizza lunch spot in Isu. For dinner, it's great for pairing pizza with beer like we did and carrying on into drinks.

If you're looking for somewhere to eat on a date near Isu Station, or an Isu pizza-and-beer spot where you can enjoy both together, Raymond Isu Branch is the kind of place that comes to mind. The Raymond Set in particular lets you try several kinds of pizza at once and comes with sides, making it a great order for two people.

If you're looking for a place near Sadang-dong to handle both food and drinks in one spot, this worked well too. On a day when I wanted a relaxed date with my boyfriend over pizza and a beer, we ate well and left satisfied.
