Boryeong fish market sashimi packed leak-free to Cheongju: Nokdo Susan
Nokdo Susan is a live-fish sashimi shop occupying two stalls, No. 57 and No. 58, at Daecheonhang Fish Market in Boryeong, Chungnam. After dinner in Daecheon, the last live squid in the tanks and one wild flounder were sliced into sashimi and packed for the drive to Cheongju, with ice frozen inside hygiene bags layered under thawing paper so no water leaked from the box. For sashimi that has to survive a long ride home and still work as a late-night snack, Nokdo Susan is the answer.
