Daehung-dong pork bone stew for a hangover in Daejeon: Yeonam
Yeonam Charcoal-Grilled Pork Backbone & Gamjatang is a gamjatang (pork bone stew) and charcoal-grilled pork backbone restaurant in Daehung-dong, Jung-gu, Daejeon, a short walk from exit B-8 of the Jungangno Station underground arcade. As a hangover cure, the small gamjatang costs 34,000 won and came with two bowls of rice, and since sujebi (hand-torn dough) and glass noodles are included as standard, it was filling without a single add-on. The siraegi (dried radish greens) and sujebi at Yeonam were the real highlight — so much so that there was no room left for the fried rice finish.
