Seonganggoldak Sinae Main Branch (성안꼴닭 시내본점) is a cooking pub on Seongan-gil in Cheongju, and I went there on a date with my boyfriend. Today's post is about Cheongju, pwahaha. Have you noticed how many great restaurants (especially pubs) have popped up on Seongan-gil lately? It really feels like a lot of people in their 20s and early 30s are flowing in, and my boyfriend and I went to 'Seonganggoldak Sinae Main Branch' for our date! Let me start my honest review.

Why did we suddenly end up at Seonganggoldak Sinae Main Branch? I was picking a pub with friends earlier, and the many guests at Seonganggoldak all looked so happy...😊😊 that I thought, I have to go there too! So we went. (Seriously.)

What's the atmosphere like at Seonganggoldak Sinae Main Branch?

Overall, Seonganggoldak Sinae Main Branch had a strongly retro, pocha-style (Korean street-tent pub) feel. I remember we visited around Saturday evening. My boyfriend and I were the first guests!! So I could take photos of the place without worrying, hehe.

Side snacks: jjanggu snack, corn and cucumber

The free side snacks at Seonganggoldak Sinae Main Branch are Jjanggu snack (a Crayon Shin-chan snack), corn and cucumber! It reminds me of an old-school hof pub, or is that just me? Heehee

What do you do at a pub? You drink, of course. We didn't forget to order soju, beer and Coke Zero too! The soju glass was so sparkly and pretty⭐️✨🌟 that I had to take a photo with it.

Cheers~💫 My boyfriend had somaek (soju mixed with beer) and I had soju. If I drink beer, my stomach hurts like it's going to tear apart.

How does the Seonganggoldak chicken neck stir-fry taste?

We were told the chicken neck stir-fry at Seonganggoldak is fully cooked in the kitchen, so we could eat it right away. Our order came out before long!! I let my boyfriend choose the dish, and it was an excellent choice. Chicken neck stir-fry!!

You can add bunmoja to the chicken neck stir-fry

Adding bunmoja to the chicken neck stir-fry was actually my doing, hehe. It's on the menu, so isn't it a crime not to order it?🤤🤍 I asked the owner whether bunmoja could be added to the chicken neck stir-fry too, and they happily said yes and cooked it for us!!

Wow, this makes you blurt out "yarda" (a delighted exclamation), but my boyfriend's hand is faster than my mouth.

He was already holding a piece, ready to eat. After one bite he said it was delicious and told me to eat right away!!!!!! He said it had real charcoal flavor🔥🔥

I was amazed by the look of the bunmoja. This is totally Jang Wonyoung bunmoja?????????

Can you see it? Bunmoja has a chewy texture different from tteok (rice cake)......🩷 I love it

One bite and it was, we can't resist this, cheers!!!!!! Then we ate the chicken neck meat, then the bunmoja, and just kept inhaling it.

Before we knew it, the dish was empty.......... That's how good it was. The chicken neck stir-fry was full of smoky char flavor, so much flavor~!! And with the bunmoja added, it wasn't salty and was easy to pick at, almost like rice..? It was just perfect, I'm telling you~!!

Seonganggoldak Sinae Main Branch for a first or second round on Seongan-gil?

I think Seonganggoldak Sinae Main Branch works on Seongan-gil either as a first round, with a meal and drinks, or as a second round. We sat by the window, and people passing by looked in and said, wow, that looks delicious. (Then they came in.) hahahahahahaha Yes, it really was delicious. If you're wondering which Seongan-gil pub is good, I recommend 'Seonganggoldak Sinae Main Branch'~~!
