Bucheon Korean BBQ with black pork and doenjang jjigae: Cham

Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch is a 120-seat pork belly restaurant in the food alley by Sinjung-dong Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi. A couple ordered Jirisan black pork belly (ogyeopsal, 160g) for 19,000 won and pork neck (160g) for 18,000 won, let the staff grill it at the table, and added doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew). The belly at Cham Dwaejitgan was full of juice and the neck was so clean-tasting that the couple ordered a second serving of it.

Sangdong food alley pub for lasagna original: People & Peoples

People & Peoples is a pizza and lasagna gastropub in Sangdong, Bucheon, right at the entrance to the food alley behind Save Zone near Sangdong Station. On an after-work stop with his wife, the writer ordered the lasagna original for 25,000 won and a 600cc Hanmac cream draft beer, and the lasagna came baked to order, thick enough that the cheese stretched off every slice. People & Peoples is an easy regular spot in Sangdong for a light pizza-and-beer night.
