Songjeong tea café with parents: two ssanghwacha at Suwolgyeonghwa

I visited this café with my parents while traveling around Busan and liked it so much I have to share it with you all ~ I really put effort into finding a spot since it was with my parents, and my satisfaction ended up being way beyond my expectations. Let's go check out Suwolgyeonghwa, a Songjeong beach café in Busan, together ^^

Where is Suwolgyeonghwa, and is there parking?

Suwolgyeonghwa is a café on the 4th floor of a building across from the Songjeong Guduckpo tunnel. The address is 4F, 188 Songjeongjungang-ro 6beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea, open 11:00–23:00, and you can park at the piloti parking space on the 1st floor of the building.

While searching hard for a café to rest at during our Busan trip with my parents, I discovered a place called 'Suwolgyeonghwa' where you can enjoy not just coffee but a variety of teas and desserts ~ I saw reviews saying the view was insane, so let's head up and check it out ~ so excited. You can park in the piloti space on the 1st floor.

'Suwolgyeonghwa' (수월경화) means a moon reflected in water and a flower reflected in a mirror — something you can see with your eyes but never grasp with your hands. The atmosphere already feels special from the stairway up, so I think I've properly scouted out a great café today ~ my parents will love this haha 😁😁

It's also been selected for the 2025 and 2026 Blue Ribbon awards.

Inside the 4th floor of Suwolgyeonghwa: taking a window seat over Songjeong Beach

The inside of Suwolgyeonghwa was a space where a hanok (traditional Korean house) sensibility blended with a calm, quiet atmosphere.

So many guests were already seated with the ocean view! Quite a few foreign visitors too... just as I was thinking there'd be no seats for us, one guest happened to get up from a middle seat right then — I was so grateful, total lucky Vicky moment!!

My mom and dad were so satisfied the moment they saw the view, and this middle-aged guy who scouted the place felt great about it 🤩🤩

Just sitting there taking in the full ocean view of Songjeong Beach is healing in itself... the view is seriously incredible 😍😍 On the strength of this view alone, I'd confidently recommend 'Suwolgyeonghwa' to anyone looking for a café in Songjeong, Busan.

Inside past the ocean-view windows there was a little space with a museum-like feel ~ where you can see the tea packages Suwolgyeonghwa has blended themselves.

What we ordered at Suwolgyeonghwa was two cups of ssanghwacha, the blended tea Lemon Sunset, and the Dalbodre dessert box.

Maybe because the weather's been so hot lately, the Songjeong sea looked an even more beautiful color ~ the tea plating came out so prettily that my parents loved it, and seeing them so happy made this middle-aged guy really happy too 😃😄

The ssanghwacha my parents chose

My mom and dad said they used to drink ssanghwacha (a traditional herbal tonic tea) back when they were dating, but not many cafés sell it these days — so the moment they spotted it on the menu, they ordered it right away.

They said the texture of the nuts in it was really nice and tasty ~

Lemon Sunset, Suwolgyeonghwa's blended tea

I love lemon so much I ordered the blended tea Lemon Sunset! With a color like a beachside sunset and a delicious balance of tartness and sweetness, it paired really well with the Korean desserts in the Dalbodre box.

What's inside the 13,000-won Dalbodre box

Here's the 'Dalbodre box' we ordered along with our tea. There are plenty of bakeries doing cakes and bread, but places doing Korean-style desserts like this are rare, right? Maybe that's why the Dalbodre box sold at 'Suwolgyeonghwa' feels even more special. 'Dalbodre' means sweet and soft — let's give it a taste.

The Dalbodre box was made up of financier, black rice sulbbang bread, monaka, injeolmi rice cake, and more, and it looked so good everyone scrambled to grab their phones and start taking pictures. Overall it wasn't too sweet, which I liked, and for this level of quality, ₩13,000 felt like a satisfying price — I'd definitely recommend ordering and trying it.

This amazing view plus the beach train too... the mood is off the charts ^^ I can't tell you how happy I was chatting away over delicious tea, listening to good music, in this calm and quiet atmosphere.
