Mapo bossam restaurant with kimjang-style kimchi: Pyeongidambaek
Pyeongidambaek Ppyeo Kalguksu Main Branch is a bossam (boiled pork wrap) and kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) restaurant on Yanghwa-ro 7-gil, between Mangwon Station and Hapjeong Station in Mapo, Seoul. Ordering the medium bossam boiled pork and anchovy kalguksu brought pork that tasted like homemade kimjang (winter kimchi-making) season, plus kimchi and kkakdugi (radish kimchi) that rank among the best the writer has ever eaten. The restaurant is also spacious and comfortable, and the kimchi alone makes the noodle soup worth expecting great things from.
