Cheongyang cream chicken with pasta noodles, Dandae-ogeori: Jangjakgun
Jangjakgun Main Branch is a wood-fired nurungji (scorched rice) whole chicken and draft beer restaurant on Sanseong-daero near Dandae-ogeori Station in Seongnam, Gyeonggi. Instead of the usual herbal nurungji scallion chicken, the writer ordered the cheongyang cream nurungji chicken for 27,000 won and added pasta noodles for 3,000 won, with a 420cc draft beer at 4,500 won poured by staff trained to beer-meister level. The verdict: adding pasta noodles to the cheongyang cream nurungji chicken is not an option but a must.
