Running knee brace support and fit: Lifeclue Powerhold

Because I run often, I was worried about putting strain on my knees. While looking for something to wear when running, I received and tried the Lifeclue Powerhold patellar knee brace.

What comes with the knee brace?

The set I received included not only the knee brace itself, but also muscle tape and a taping guide.

A sheet explaining how to apply the tape was included too, which I thought would be helpful to refer to the first time I used it.

How does the brace connect, and how supportive is it?

The brace came in a case. When I opened it, it was divided into two parts that connect together for use.

Its full-cover silicone pad wraps around the patella. When I wore it, it felt like it held my knee firmly in place.

Once the two parts are connected, they stay secured. When I wore it, it did not come undone easily, so it felt as though it held my knee steadily even during exercise.

How does it feel while moving or sweating?

The spandex material fit naturally without getting in the way of movement. For me, the compression was just right, and it supported my knee while still feeling comfortable.

I also liked that the soft Velcro caused almost no rubbing when it touched my skin. Even when I got sweaty while exercising, it did not feel bothersome.

How did it feel when I actually ran in it?

My knees would sometimes bother me a little after running for a long time. When I ran wearing the brace, I could feel my knee being supported, which made me feel more at ease mentally too, and I worried less about my knee.

What I found satisfying was its solid support and comfortable close fit. I wanted to keep wearing it for future runs too.
