I chose the Meda Bag rattan shoulder bag to take on my Vietnam trip. It was my first rattan bag, so I wondered which one to choose, but I used it well while getting around Da Nang and Hoi An, with plenty of room for my belongings.
What were the beige color and first impression like?
It came in beige and brown, and I chose beige. The price felt affordable too. It arrived neatly packed in a nonwoven bag, and I opened it as soon as I got it because I was thinking of taking it on my trip. I liked it because the light color seemed as though it would go well with the clothes I planned to wear at the resort.
What are the zipper and inner pocket like?
I liked that it has a zipper at the top, so I could put my belongings in and close it. The inside was roomier than I expected, and it also had a small pocket. I tend to carry lots of little things, so I thought it would be handy for keeping cards, lip products, and cushion compact separately.
The weave felt sturdier than I expected and was not overly floppy. After looking it over, I packed it in my travel suitcase.
How much travel gear did it hold?
The day after arriving in Da Nang, I wore this bag to the Pink Cathedral. Outdoors, the beige color looked even prettier, and I felt I had chosen well.
On the trip, I had to take this and that out often, and it held quite a lot of what I needed. I packed a folding umbrella, sunglasses, sunscreen, cosmetics, emergency medicine, a hat, wallet, phone charger, and wet wipes. To my eye, it did not even look noticeably stuffed, so I was happy with the storage.
Did a keyring suit the rattan bag too?
At Ba Na Hills, I felt the bag went well with the lush green scenery around me. I also attached a knitted doll that I bought at Han Market in Da Nang. At first, I was not sure whether a rattan bag and a keyring would go together, but once I tried it, I liked it.
Was it comfortable to carry throughout the trip?
I carried this bag when I went to Marble Mountains in Da Nang too. Using it during the trip, it felt light and comfortable, and it was good for carrying the things I needed. The weave also felt sturdy, so I found myself reaching for it often.
It was with me when I took in the night view by the Thu Bon River in Hoi An too. On this trip, it was a bag I used well thanks to its roomy storage and lightweight feel when worn.
