Why we saved this indoor theme park near Jeju Airport for the last day

Hi everyone! The whole point of this Jeju trip was to play at the beach. We let the kids splash around to their hearts' content, but honestly it felt like something was missing. We usually try to check out one indoor theme park with the kids whenever we're in Jeju, so I looked up things to do in Jeju with kids again this time and came across one place. It's Theme Park Toon, located near Jeju Airport — about 15 minutes by car — which looked perfect as our last stop before the flight, so we took the kids and went :)

Theme Park Toon from the outside: a giant LED screen you can't miss

Even before we stepped inside, the giant curved LED screen out front grabbed our attention with flashy media art playing on loop, and off to one side, a comic-style drawing with the phrase "Webtoons become reality!" got all of us excited!

Inside the lobby: turning your photo into a webtoon at the entrance

Right after passing through the door, you walk through colorful comic panels and then arrive at a central lobby full of a giant bear mascot holding a "finally, you're here" sign and various character sculptures — we were busy taking photos from the entrance onward.

The kids got super excited the moment they spotted the familiar Bread Barbershop characters right by the entrance! Look at them running — you can feel the excitement even through a photo haha. We went into the space marked "this is the entrance," and as soon as we stepped in, we saw a room completely filled with webtoon posters — at first I honestly thought they were just posters.

Turns out there's a photo machine set up near the entrance that takes your photo and turns it into a cute webtoon-style illustration. And it doesn't stop there — after you take the photo, it pops up on a giant screen on the wall like an actual comic poster, and there's a small kind of fun in spotting your own face among all the different frames haha. The kids loved it so much I lost count of how many times they went back to take more photos! And that's how we ended up with our webtoon family photo!

After we finished taking webtoon photos, we checked out the media art spaces right next door, and that wrapped up the 1st floor! The lighting and staging in every room were excellent and the kids really loved it :) I totally get why Theme Park Toon is such a popular thing to do in Jeju now.

3rd floor: webtoon worlds brought to life, with photo zones and hands-on zones

Once you're done with the 1st floor of Theme Park Toon, you head up to the 3rd floor.

On the 3rd floor, the first thing you do is color in a drawing, and then the character you just made appears alive and moving inside a giant media screen on the wall. The kids loved watching the characters fly up into the sky whenever they tapped them!

Once that experience wraps up, you come out into a whole series of photo zones bringing webtoon worlds to life!!! The kids kept stopping at every new spot asking us to take their picture haha.

There were too many to fit them all here haha, but they set up spaces themed around various webtoons!

Out of all of them, the kids' favorite was easily the Bread Barbershop-themed room, complete with a full mock barbershop set up haha — they absolutely loved it. Any kid would love this place, no question!!

So many quirky spaces, there was never a dull moment. Last but not least, my husband — from the Meotteol Dosa (머털도사) generation — shouted "do you kids even know Meotteol Dosa?" to himself haha🥲

2nd floor: gift shop, café, and active games like the punch machine and TechRun

Let's head down to the last floor, the 2nd floor~ On the 2nd floor there's a gift shop where you can buy cute items and souvenirs, a café, and a few experience zones — let's take a look at the experience zone.

There were two punch machines and a TechRun where you stomp on colored panels with your feet, so the kids had a great time running around!

On top of the photo zones and media art, though it's not in the photos, there's also a machine that turns your photo into a printed t-shirt :) Theme Park Toon really is a great thing to do in Jeju with kids! There was so much to run around in and explore that we left with really good memories.

Is Theme Park Toon worth it, and who should visit?

Theme Park Toon turned out to be even more of a hit with the kids than I expected as a thing to do in Jeju with kids. It's not just a place to look around — there are plenty of hands-on experiences too, so there was never a boring moment. The characters brought to life from webtoons, the well-designed spaces, and the pretty lighting meant even casual snapshots turned out great, which was really satisfying. Because it's all indoors, you don't have to worry about the weather, and it's the perfect spot for a comfortable time with the kids. I think it would be just as satisfying for families with kids or for anyone looking for a quirky date spot.

Theme Park Toon ticket prices and parking

Theme Park Toon is open 09:00–19:00, with last admission at 18:00. Parking uses the large dedicated lot in front of the building, and buying a ticket gets you 2 hours of free parking. If you think you'll go over 2 hours, they said you can just ask at the ticket counter and they'll extend it for you.
