Gyeongju Hwangridan-gil Korean restaurant couple dinner: jjimdak
Dongyang Baekban is a Korean restaurant in a renovated old house one block in from the main street of Hwangridan-gil in Gyeongju. Stopping in for dinner on a day trip to Gyeongju, the writer and her partner ordered five-color vegetable jjimdak (braised chicken with vegetables) with a bowl of rice and a pollack roe rice bowl, and the boneless chicken's mildly spicy sauce was made for mixing into rice with seaweed flakes. With only two tables per room, Dongyang Baekban stays quiet enough for a Gyeongju date or a family dinner.
