I went to Pasta Han Kki Nowon Main Branch (파스타한끼 노원본점), a popular spot near Nowon Station, for lunch in Nowon. To get straight to the point: for around ₩10,000 you can fill up on pasta and pilaf, and I was really happy with it.

Where is Pasta Han Kki Nowon Main Branch, and is there parking?

Pasta Han Kki Nowon Main Branch is at 19 Sanggye-ro 5-gil, Nowon-gu, Seoul, on the first floor of the Daegwang Building. It's about 149 m from Nowon Station Exit 9, so even at a slow stroll it took me around 2 minutes. You don't have to go deep into the alleys to see it, so even on my first visit it wasn't hard to find.

There's also a dedicated parking area right next to the shop. Restaurants near Nowon Station with free parking are surprisingly hard to find, right?! I think it would be quite convenient for anyone coming by car.

Reservations, takeout and delivery are all available, and there is group seating and a bar table too, so it looked good for everything from eating solo to get-togethers.
Atmosphere and seating at Pasta Han Kki

Overall the place felt clean and casual. The tables weren't squeezed too close together, so it was comfortable to chat while eating, and I saw couples, groups of friends and people dining alone, so the vibe was relaxed.

Maybe because the menu is so varied, every table seemed to have ordered something different. Besides pasta there are pilaf, pizza, risotto and even steak, so even a bigger group will have fun choosing.

What I picked: mala oil pasta + added beef brisket, plump shrimp pilaf
Mala oil pasta with beef brisket: how does it taste?

The red oil sauce coated the noodles evenly, and with the beef brisket added on top of the garlic and other toppings, it looked hearty at a glance. The base price is ₩9,900, and adding the brisket definitely made it feel more like a proper meal.

I tried the noodles on their own first, and the mala (numbing-spicy Sichuan flavor) spread gently rather than hitting you hard. So I think even people who don't eat mala often could enjoy it without much trouble.

Eating the brisket with the noodles added a rich, savory meaty flavor and made everything much fuller. The oil sauce soaked into the noodles well, so they stayed moist to the end, and the garlic scattered through it kept things from feeling greasy, haha.

The heat is sneakily addictive, and my fork kept going back for more. If you like mala, I think it's worth trying once.
✔️ One-line review: A pasta where you can enjoy mild mala flavor together with savory beef brisket.
What comes with the ₩9,900 plump shrimp pilaf?
As the name says, the plump shrimp pilaf came with big shrimp and a mix of vegetables. The fried rice looked appetizing, and there was more shrimp than I expected, so I thought, not bad for ₩9,900?!

The rice was stir-fried fluffy and loose, with a gentle wok-fire smokiness, so every bite had that savory fried-rice flavor.

The shrimp kept their springy texture, and with onion and other vegetables mixed in there was variety in the chew. The seasoning wasn't too strong either, so it was easy to finish without getting tired of it.

If the mala oil pasta is the rich, spicy one, the pilaf was the more comfortable, mild style. Ordering one of each and sharing meant I could alternate between noodles and rice, and I was quite happy with that combination. If you come as a pair, this combo is surprisingly good, haha. It's a pairing that works well.

✔️ One-line review: If you like fluffy fried rice and springy shrimp, you'll be very satisfied with this dish.
