Winter break has finally begun! Our little ones worked so hard through the school year—great job, kids ^^ But for us moms... this is where it starts, right? Wani has been running hard all year, so for this winter break I made a plan to skip adding any other private tutoring and just live buried in books.

People in our area use the library like crazy. Yongin in Gyeonggi-do ranks overwhelmingly first in the province for book loans, and Suji Library ranks first within Yongin, so on weekends and during school breaks the library is absolutely packed, packed, packed with kids... ^^...

So even regular library use, let alone borrowing popular series like Heunhan Nammae, Egg Doctor, Jeoncheondang, and Kkamnyang, feels like reaching for the stars. But I never buy learning comics with my own money, you know ^^... So I thought, isn't there an easy place to rent books? And that is how I found the Uri Jibeun Doseogwan (Uri Jibeun Doseogwan) app!

You can see bestseller rankings by grade like this. I normally never let Wani read the Heunhan Nammae series... but for the break, especially! I decided to rent whatever books Wani wanted. We put the books into the cart together, and even for the same title, the rental price is set from ₩500 to over ₩1,000 depending on the book’s condition. The average rental price is ₩1,300! The conditions are categorized too, so they are easy to choose from.

Another thing I loved: there were lots of English originals by level too! Unless you are registered with an English library, it is nearly impossible to borrow original English books from a regular library, so I really loved being able to rent them by AR level!

We ordered the books Wani and I chose before 3 p.m., and they arrived the very next day! They come in this book bag, so after reading, you can just pop them back into the bag. That means they will not get mixed up with the other books at home. The book rental period is 2 weeks. To return them, put them back in the same book bag they arrived in, place it in the shipping box, and simply press the “Request Return” button; the courier picks them up within 1–2 days. And if you return them early, they even credit 10% of the rental amount as points!

The five books Wani picked! Haennim Dalnim Tteokjip is a brand-new release, right? We would have had to wait months to borrow it from the local library, so it was wonderful to see it right away. I deliberately chose books in fair to good condition so we could rent more, but the books that arrived were so clean I was wide-eyed—this is considered fair condition?
