Is Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Chuncheon Toegye good for group gatherings?

The place is really big, so it's a BBQ restaurant I'd recommend for group gatherings in Chuncheon. It already has a solid reputation among meat lovers, and after visiting in person I could see why it's so popular.

The interior is modern and clean and the space is huge, so I think it works for family dinners, group meetups and company outings! Especially with the playroom, it's a great Chuncheon BBQ spot to come with kids.

It's a BBQ restaurant in Chuncheon that even has a space for kids, which is rare these days!

The room is large with plenty of seats all the way to the back, so it feels airy and comfortable to eat in 😊

How much is the beef at Hanmaeum Jeongyuk?

The biggest draw is, of course, getting good-quality meat at a reasonable price! The prices weren't bad at all. The half and full beef platters seem cheaper than at other restaurants haha

You can enjoy beef and pork in whole or half sets to suit your group size and taste. Prices are on the cheaper side compared to regular BBQ places, so it's easy to eat here without worrying about the bill!

What's at the self-bar?

The self-bar at Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Chuncheon Toegye has extra side dishes, aprons and a microwave.

📌 Tip: There's a microwave on the self-bar, so keep that in mind if you need to warm up baby food!

Aprons are provided too (over by the self-bar). The meat grease splatters more than you'd expect, so I recommend putting one on!

Basic side dishes and unlimited doenjang stew

Once you sit down and order, the side dishes come out right away, and the basic spread is really generous 👏

The doenjang stew, which other restaurants make you order as a side, is 'unlimited refill' here ✨

So many tempting side dishes that I felt full before even getting to the meat!

The chilled muksabal (acorn jelly soup), a perfect summer dish, is a total recommend too 🌸

The scallion salad is so good too! There's jjolmyeon (chewy wheat noodles) hidden underneath :) Tastier than I expected!

Half beef platter for ₩42,000: how are the portion and taste?

The half beef platter I ordered at Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Chuncheon Toegye was ₩42,000 and quite generous! 🥩

The meat quality was definitely great. It felt freshly cut! Mushrooms, rice cakes and other little bites come along with it.

Maybe because it's raw beef aged with care, the grilled meat had a wonderfully chewy texture and juiciness. Beef is beef, after all~~ It melts in your mouth 🐮

Is it okay to go with kids?

Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Chuncheon Toegye has a playroom (kids' facility) where little ones can run around freely, plus high chairs.
