Sokcho Jungang Market stall: nurungji squid sundae worth the wait

Seomin Gapbu Sijang Dakjip is a squid sundae and fried snack stall in an alley of Sokcho Jungang Market in Sokcho, Gangwon. Traveling with family, the writer was pulled in by the smell of frying oil, waited in the line, and ate the nurungji (scorched rice) squid sundae standing in the market alley instead of carrying it home, along with an order of tteokbokki. Crisp outside, chewy inside and clean-tasting oil made Seomin Gapbu Sijang Dakjip worth queuing for again.
