Buckwheat gimbap 3 ways near Gangmun Beach, Gangneung: Gossi's
Gossi's Donghae Makguksu & Sundubu Kalguksu Main Branch is an ocean-view makguksu (cold buckwheat noodle) and buckwheat gimbap restaurant right across from Gangmun Beach in Gangneung. For the first meal of a summer vacation, the writer ordered three kinds of buckwheat gimbap — spicy pepper, eel, and flying fish roe — plus perilla oil makguksu and buckwheat jeonbyeong, then packed the leftover gimbap home in an ice pack. With 1 hour 30 minutes of free parking at Gangmun Beach's public lots and a dog-friendly 3rd floor, it made a great first stop for a Gangneung trip.
