Why Gagas Pizza after swimming in Sokcho?

Gagas Pizza is a pizzeria near Sokcho Beach where you can pick slices to suit your taste. After swimming in Sokcho, my child said they wanted pizza, so we headed to Gagas Pizza, which lets you choose by the slice.

On a Sokcho trip you end up eating a lot of seafood, but that day pizza sounded better. My child could pick flavors they liked, and I could have pizza and beer, so it looked good for a family. I was already looking for a good pizza place in Sokcho, so we walked right in without overthinking it.

How is parking at Gagas Pizza?

Gagas Pizza has no dedicated parking lot, so we had to find a spot nearby on our own. It's close to Sokcho Beach and gets plenty of visitors, so depending on the time of day, finding a space can be hard.

We circled the area a bit and parked where we could. If you're coming by car, it's probably easier to check nearby parking first.

Inside, Gagas Pizza felt clean and neatly kept overall. It wasn't cluttered or stuffy, so it was easy to sit and eat with a child.

It feels like a nice spot for pizza and beer, so people who love pizza and beer like me can drop in casually:)

Order by the slice or a whole pie at Gagas Pizza?

Gagas Pizza cuts its 18-inch pizzas into eight slices. If you want something quick, order by the slice; if a group wants plenty to share, a whole pie would work too.

We skipped the whole pie and picked several slices we wanted. Everyone could choose a flavor to their taste, and choosing with my child was fun too~

How were the dough and cheese at Gagas Pizza?

Gagas Pizza says it uses dough that gets a second cold fermentation for 48 hours. The mozzarella is also grated by hand, and maybe that's why the dough and cheese flavors came through so clearly.

It's an original New York slice style, so the dough had a pleasant chew, and the cheese was rich and salty. Each slice is quite big too, so just a few slices will fill you up~!

Can a child finish a big Gagas Pizza slice alone?

The slices at Gagas Pizza looked too big for a child to eat alone, but mine ate a whole big slice solo. When I first got the slice, it looked really large for a kid, you know? I figured they'd eat a bit and leave the rest, but after one bite they ate far better than I expected.

They held the pizza tight with both hands and ate so determinedly, I swear?? I asked halfway whether they were full, and they said they were fine and kept going, and in the end they finished the whole big slice alone... It was more than they usually eat, so it must have really suited their taste, haha

The salty cheese and nutty dough at Gagas Pizza went well with beer, and I kept wanting that combo of a bite of pizza and a sip of beer.

I was quietly worn out after swimming, and one cold sip of beer felt like it took away a bit of the tiredness!?
