Suwon fish restaurant with a self-serve banchan bar: Godeungeo

Godeungeo Myeongpumi Doeda Suwon Branch is a grilled and braised fish restaurant on Seobu-ro in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi. Two of us arrived on a weekday at 6:30pm, were seated with no wait, and ordered braised cutlassfish for two (38,000 won) plus grilled mackerel (15,000 won) and a Coke Zero, for 55,000 won total, with a self-serve banchan bar, sungnyung (toasted rice tea) and sikhye (sweet rice drink) included. The cutlassfish was tender enough for the flesh to slide off the bone, and the grilled mackerel was good enough to make a lifelong cutlassfish lover plan to order mackerel next time.
