You know those days when you suddenly crave pasta? I went looking for a place in Magok and ended up at Oneul Pasta Magok Branch (오늘파스타 마곡점). The prices are so good that I was curious, and after eating there I understand why people keep picking it as a Magok favorite.

From the prices to the menu lineup to the taste, I was happy with the whole thing, so let me introduce it. :)
Where is Oneul Pasta Magok Branch, and what about parking and atmosphere?
Oneul Pasta Magok Branch is on the 2nd floor of the building at 76 Magokjungang-ro. It's close to the subway station, so it's easy to walk to, and there's parking in the building. The restaurant was spacious and pleasant.

It's close to the subway station, so walking is easy, and with parking in the building, driving works too.

The restaurant is on the 2nd floor, and the interior is nicely done.

Sunlight came in through the big windows, so it felt bright overall, and the interior looked clean.
The tables are spaced generously, so it never felt cramped while eating. Lots of friends were dining together, but quite a few couples on dates too.
It's such a relaxed place to eat that I thought it would be fine for a group meetup next time.
What are the menu and prices at Oneul Pasta Magok Branch?
At Oneul Pasta Magok Branch, pasta starts at ₩9,900 and sets at ₩13,900, and it's not lunch-only: the prices are the same any time. Beyond pasta, the menu has risotto and pizza too.
The first thing I did after sitting down was check the menu.

Oneul Pasta has risotto and pizza as well as pasta, so you can order to your taste. What surprised me most was the price. Pasta starts at ₩9,900 and sets at ₩13,900, and I liked that it isn't lunch-only but the same price at any time.
They also run free size-ups and other events often, so the value looked great. I ordered the rosé risotto and a set. For the set I chose aglio olio pasta with pollock roe added, plus a margherita pizza, and it was more filling than I expected.

Free salad bar at Oneul Pasta Magok Branch
While waiting for the food, I used the free salad bar at Oneul Pasta Magok Branch.

Many places make you order salad separately, but here you can take as much as you like, and there are plenty of dressings, so it works as a light starter. Small perks like this are really nice.
How were the rosé risotto and the roe aglio olio?
The rosé risotto, aglio olio pasta, margherita pizza and ades I ordered all came out at once, and the table filled up. The dish I enjoyed most that day was the rosé risotto.

Rosé risotto, aglio olio pasta, margherita pizza and ades all arrived.

My first thought when the food came out was, "That's more generous than I expected." With risotto, pasta and pizza served together, the table filled up fast, and it looked so tasty that I took photos first.
I recorded the food on video too.

Rosé risotto
I started with the rosé risotto.

There was plenty of cream sauce, yet it wasn't overly heavy and went down smoothly, which impressed me.

The sauce soaked into every grain of rice, giving a rich, nutty flavor in each bite, and I never got tired of it. Personally it was the dish I enjoyed most that day. I'd order the rosé risotto again next time.

Green grape ade and lemon ade
Ordering ades too was a good call, since they cleaned up my palate between bites and made everything tastier. Both the green grape ade and the lemon ade at Oneul Pasta Magok are good :)

Aglio olio set with added pollock roe
Adding pollock roe to the aglio olio was a stroke of genius.

The oil wasn't excessive, so it was clean and light, and the roe added a salty umami that made the pasta taste much richer.

The noodles weren't overcooked either, so the texture was good, and my chopsticks kept going back for more.

Maybe because of the free size-up, the portion was quite generous even for a single-person set, so it's more filling than you'd expect.

Margherita pizza
The margherita pizza is a thin-crust style, so it's perfect alongside pasta. Cheese and tomato sit lightly on the crispy dough, and having a slice between bites of risotto and pasta made a great combination.

Is Oneul Pasta Magok Branch worth going back to?
After eating there, I could see why people so often pick Oneul Pasta as a Magok favorite. Going by price alone I thought it was just a place for a quick meal, but the portions are generous and the food quality beat my expectations, so I was very satisfied.
I'd like to try the other pasta dishes next time, and Oneul Pasta is a Magok spot I'd happily return to on days when I just feel like Western food.
