Late dinner makguksu in Goyang: shrimp mandu at Bongpyeong Gohyang
Bongpyeong Gohyang Makguksu is a makguksu (chilled buckwheat noodle) restaurant on Hoguk-ro in Deogyang-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi, in the same spot for 30 years. Arriving late in the evening near the 20:00 last order, the writer ordered mul-makguksu (noodles in cold broth), bibim-makguksu (spicy mixed noodles) and 7 shrimp mandu, but was too late for kalguksu. The wide dining room, self-serve side dish bar and mild, clean broth made Bongpyeong Gohyang Makguksu worth the late trip.
