Water milmyeon with icy broth

For this visit we ordered two bowls of water bibim milmyeon, one bowl of water milmyeon, and fried mandu. Ordering several dishes together let us compare the flavors of each. The water milmyeon came out first, and it looked refreshing just to look at.

The broth, with little ice flakes floating in it, was clean yet deeply savory, and the first sip cooled me all the way down. It wasn't harsh at all, but the flavor kept pulling my spoon back in, so I ended up drinking almost all the broth. The noodles were chewy and springy too, pairing really well with the broth.

What does water bibim milmyeon taste like?

Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon's water bibim milmyeon had a charm all its own, different from regular bibim milmyeon. The spicy-sweet sauce combined with the cool broth brought out even more savoriness, and it wasn't too spicy, so it's a flavor anyone could enjoy.

The sauce was evenly coated on the noodles, so the flavor stayed consistent down to the last bite, and sipping the broth in between made the overall taste feel even more balanced.

Personally, I'd recommend everyone try the water bibim milmyeon at least once in summer.

Is the fried mandu worth ordering too?

The fried mandu (dumplings) we ordered alongside was genuinely great 👍

Freshly fried, the mandu were crispy outside and juicy inside, and one bite filled my mouth with a nutty, savory flavor. If milmyeon alone feels like it's not quite enough, definitely order these too.

The combo of cool milmyeon and crispy mandu worked really well together, making for an even more filling meal.

Overall, the portions were generous and the noodles were cooked just right, so it was delicious from start to finish. The coolness of the broth, the chewiness of the noodles, and the savoriness of the sauce — nothing was lacking, and with the discount running on top of that, it felt great.
