Warehouse vintage shop in Yangju with ₩9,800 flat price: Second

These days, whenever I buy new clothes, I really feel how expensive clothing prices have gotten. So instead of always buying new, I thought it might be nice to pick up some well-chosen secondhand pieces cheaply and style them my own way.

So this time I visited Second Traders, a vintage shop in Yangju. By the way, the parking space is genuinely huge.

A flat ₩9,800 on everything, plus an unlimited bag option

And here's one of the biggest reasons to visit Second Traders as a vintage shop in Yangju! Everything is a flat ₩9,800. Jeans are ₩9,800, shirts are ₩9,800, dresses are ₩9,800, jackets are ₩9,800.

If you want slightly higher-quality vintage pieces, you can go for the tagged items instead of the ₩9,800 rack! Items with a price tag attached aren't ₩9,800, but the quality was noticeably different.

Of course, since these are secondhand items, condition and design vary piece by piece, and they're not all in the same pristine state as new clothes. So it's actually important to check the fabric, stains, and wear yourself as you look through them.

By the way, if you're planning to grab a lot, there's also the ₩69,000 unlimited bag option, which could be fun for anyone buying multiple pieces. But I'd only recommend the unlimited bag for thin clothes! If you pack winter clothes in there, the bag might fill up after just one or two items.

A roughly 3,300-square-meter warehouse-style store

The first thing that surprises you when you visit is the sheer size of the store. Once you step inside the large white building, instead of a typical neighborhood vintage shop, you find a warehouse-style space with rows of hangers stretching on and on. Several other visitor reviews also describe it as a massive warehouse-style store of about 1,000 pyeong.

More treasure hunt than shopping

I don't think the appeal of Second Traders is just buying clothes cheaply. There are so many clothes that you have to actively dig for pieces that suit your taste. So it feels less like shopping and, exaggerating a bit, more like a treasure hunt.

Even at the same ₩9,800, one person might find several pieces they love while another might come up with nothing they like. In the end, how slowly and carefully you search really matters here! Everything's organized by color and by design, so it's also great for finding a specific look you're after.

Shirts and jerseys good for fall

Personally, I found a lot of shirts and jerseys that felt perfect for the start of fall. The tagged pieces are nice, but even the ₩9,800 items were surprisingly good quality and clean.

The kids' section

As a mom, I couldn't skip browsing the kids' clothes either. There was a really cute Adidas jersey, but it was a shame there wasn't my kid's size.

Pushing the cart and trying things on

Time to properly shop after dropping my kid off at daycare. You push a cart around and try everything on piece by piece as you pick.

Honestly, a basic item like a hoodie feels like the ultimate deal to have on hand for winter, but it's not winter yet, so I passed.

If you look closely at the dresses, there are also plus-size pieces like the ones I wear.

Four pieces for ₩39,200: the haul

This time I picked out jeans, a shirt, a dress, and a fall jacket — four pieces in total. At ₩9,800 each, four pieces still came out to only ₩39,200, which definitely felt low-pressure.

There's a different kind of fun to it than buying new clothes, and above all the joy of discovering pieces you never expected to find. If you're into vintage or secondhand clothing, I think it's a place worth visiting at least once.

It's especially good for anyone in the Yangju or Paju area looking for a vintage or secondhand shop, or anyone who wants to browse a variety of styles at a low price. Just be careful — like me, you might go in planning to just look around and end up walking out with your hands full of clothes. 😂
