Centum gamjatang restaurant with ₩2,000 fried rice: Byeolhaebyeol

In short

Byeolhaebyeol Gamjatang Centum (별해별감자탕 센텀점) is a gamjatang (pork bone stew) and ppyeo-haejangguk (pork bone soup) restaurant that opened in May 2025 on Jaebanro in Jaesong-dong, Haeundae, Busan. A small mild gamjatang with fried rice at 2,000 won per serving made a filling lunch: the meat comes out already cooked, so only the vegetables need to simmer, and it slides right off the bone. With a large parking lot and a self-serve bar, Byeolhaebyeol Gamjatang Centum is a definite return visit for lunch near Centum.

Every meal lately has been built around what my kid likes, so at some point I realized I hadn't eaten what I actually wanted in ages haha. So this time I made a decision: today, I'm enjoying some proper grown-up flavor!

That's how I ended up at Byeolhaebyeol Gamjatang Centum (별해별감자탕 센텀점). It's known as a go-to restaurant near Centum and only opened this past May, so it's still brand new. Perfect for a Haeundae lunch of haejangguk (hangover soup), perfect as a go-to spot in Jaesong-dong — clean dining room, big parking lot, friendly owner, and even a self-serve bar! I loved all of it haha.

Ordering a small gamjatang with fried rice

Gamjatang and ppyeo-haejangguk (bone hangover soup) are the main dishes. When you're craving a rich broth, want a hearty Haeundae haejangguk lunch, or can't decide on a Centum restaurant, this menu lineup fits the bill perfectly.

I ordered the small gamjatang and fried rice this time. After always eating what my kid likes, today I really wanted to enjoy some grown-up flavor haha. Isn't gamjatang basically the definition of a grown-up taste? I also thought — this might be the best value you'll find at any Jaesong-dong restaurant!

The great thing is, even if you bring your kid along, the kids' meal is only ₩5,000, so there's no pressure.

Side dishes and what's on the self-serve bar

The basic side dishes come out neat and tidy. You can grab more from the self-serve bar, so there's no shortage of food. The self-serve bar is well stocked, so you can add whatever suits your taste! If you're visiting for a Haeundae haejangguk lunch, definitely make use of the self-serve bar haha.

Even the water is nice barley tea. You can really feel the care put in.

How does the small mild gamjatang taste?

The moment the small gamjatang arrived, I was floored. The presentation is no joke! The meat comes already cooked, so only the vegetables need to finish simmering.

Even the color of the broth looks rich and deep. The meat pulls off the bones easily, and it's cooked tender, so every bite was satisfying.

One sip of the broth and that spicy, deep flavor fills your mouth, and I thought — this is the real grown-up taste! There's plenty of ugeoji (dried napa cabbage greens) too, which tastes even better with the broth. After always eating what my kid likes, tasting this rich gamjatang felt like some kind of liberation haha.

Even the siraegi (dried radish greens) alone are delicious. Since I ordered mild, it wasn't too spicy — more of a clean, mellow flavor.

The meat was also really tender, so even someone like me with clumsy hands at picking bones could eat it easily.

How big is the ₩2,000 serving of fried rice?

Now about the fried rice — the leftover broth and meat get portioned out like this for it.

The fried rice is ₩2,000 per serving, and look how much you get!! It was genuinely delicious. You'll regret it if you skip it.

For a Centum restaurant, this level of quality is a real pass! Mix some rice into the gamjatang broth, then switch over to the fried rice midway — the combo is incredible. The savory, clean fried rice pairs perfectly with the rich gamjatang broth. I properly enjoyed grown-up flavor today haha. I feel like I'll be coming back to this Jaesong-dong spot often!
