First gopchang with my husband in Incheon: Yeonsu Gopchang

Yeonsu Gopchang is a gopchang (grilled intestines) and makchang restaurant on Saemmal-ro 21beon-gil in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, a 12-minute walk from Yeonsu Station. On a Sunday evening, on their first gopchang outing together, the writer and her husband ordered the Yeonsu Mixed Set (39,900 won), swapping in sundae gopchang stir-fry and seasoned grilled makchang, and also had free fish cake soup, liver and sundae, an earthenware gopchang hot pot and DIY fried rice. Because Yeonsu Gopchang cooks everything in the kitchen, less smell clings to your clothes, and with two soups on the table it makes a good spot for drinks.

Gajeong Station Korean BBQ walk-in at 7pm: 600g pork set, Euljiro

Euljiro Yeontan Gui Luone City Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant grilling over yeontan (coal briquettes), about 10 minutes' walk from Gajeong Station in Seohae, Incheon. A couple walked in without a reservation at 7pm on a weekday and ordered the 600g pork han-geun set (38,000 won). The set included pork belly, pork neck, pork jowl, galmaegisal (pork skirt meat), dwitgogi (pork back meat) and pork skin, and the couple added soju-beer from an ice bucket and cold noodles for dessert. For two people who want to try several cuts at once, the Euljiro Yeontan Gui pork han-geun set is exactly the right amount.
