Fresh vegetables, broth and good-quality meat came out in abundance, and the portion was more than enough.

As it came to a boil the taste got even deeper, and it was clean yet deep enough that I never got tired of it and kept going. And kimchi is something a shabu-shabu place can't do without, right? Syabudaum's kimchi was crunchy and pleasantly spicy, and it paired perfectly with the mild meat and vegetables. Just from the kimchi you can tell how much care goes into the food at this Songdo Amusement Park-area restaurant in Incheon.

Is the potato pancake at Syabudaum worth adding?

At Syabudaum Songdo Amusement Park Branch, you have to add the side dish of potato pancake (gamjajeon), no matter what. The basic shabu set is great, but the potato pancake is the real "kick" of this place! It's crispy outside and moist inside, with the nutty flavor of potato filling your mouth, and it was easily one of the most memorable potato pancakes I've ever had. Shabu-shabu and potato pancake went together better than I expected, and I kept exclaiming as I ate.
