Suwon Station kalguksu restaurant with a 10-minute Sunday wait: Daseon
Daseon Kalguksu Main Branch is a Korean noodle restaurant near Suwon Station in Gyeonggi, a 7-minute walk from Exit 8 at the end of Suwon Station Theme Street. On a Sunday at noon the wait was about 10 minutes, and the meal was kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) at 10,000 won and jjang-kalguksu (spicy paste noodle soup) at 12,000 won split between two, plus a 15,000 won bossam (boiled pork) plate and 8,000 won half-and-half mandu (dumplings). Even the clear kalguksu at Daseon Kalguksu has chili in the broth, so it is worth knowing before bringing children, but as a hangover-cure lunch it explains the queue.
