Kid-friendly tonkatsu in Godeok, Pyeongtaek: cheese katsu at Omi Katsu
Omi Katsu is a newly opened tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet) restaurant on Godeogyeoyeom 11-gil in Godeok, Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi. Visiting with two children, the writer ordered the cold soba set with cheese katsu and the minced meat curry rice set with tenderloin and loin katsu, and found the pork thick, clean-tasting and free of any gamey smell since the owner brings the meat straight from the slaughterhouse. The older child picked the cheese katsu and the younger the tenderloin katsu, making Omi Katsu an easy choice for a family meal.
