Solo lunch pho near Chonnam Univ, Gwangju: Wolmidang beef brisket
Wolmidang Gwangju Chonnam National University Branch is a pho restaurant in Buk-gu, Gwangju, in the alley across from the Buk-gu Health Center. Visited for lunch, the writer tried the beef brisket pho (차돌양지쌀국수) and bún chả (분짜) — the meat had no gamey smell, the broth was clean, and free refills of noodles, bean sprouts, cilantro and broth made it a filling solo meal. If pho isn't your thing, the bún chả is worth trying instead.
