Pyeongtaek naengmyeon spot with skate salad bibim: Seoul Myeonok
Seoul Myeonok is a long-running cold noodle restaurant on the main road beside Pyeongtaek Station in Gyeonggi, open since 1973. On this visit the husband ordered pyeongyang naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles in chilled broth) for 11,000 won, the wife had bibim naengmyeon (spicy mixed cold noodles) for 11,000 won, and they shared a half plate of Korean pork belly suyuk (boiled pork) for 16,000 won, with free self-serve warm beef broth by the entrance. The chewy noodles and the seasoned skate salad (ganjaemi muchim) on top were good enough to book a return visit.
