In short
Doasis is a large bakery café in Deokjeong-dong, Yangju, Gyeonggi, set in a remodeled former bathhouse building. The writer walked among palm trees brought in from Jeju, tried a strawberry-packed latte, yukjjok (six-clove) garlic bread and a chocolate cream bun, and highlighted Doasis's 4th-floor rooftop dog park, 140-car parking lot and nursing room. Doasis is a solid pick for a day out in Yangju with a dog or kids.

Today I'm sharing my visit to Doasis (도아시스, DOASIS), a record-scale big café in Deokjeong, Yangju.

It's been so hot on social media for its exotic mood and unique concept that I really wanted to go! A café this big and pretty had opened in Yangju, so how could I not? In person, everything from the size to the interior to the taste of the bakery was better than I expected.

What kind of café is Doasis? A big Yangju café in a converted bathhouse
Doasis is a large café reborn from an old bathhouse building in Deokjeong, Yangju, stylishly remodeled. I heard it sits on about 2,000 pyeong of land, and the title of biggest in Yangju really suits it.

Real palm trees from Jeju and model green tangerines
Step inside and real palm trees, grown and brought over from Jeju Island, fill the whole space. Maybe because they're real and not artificial, it felt like a botanical garden, or like a trip to a Jeju resort. There are even model green tangerines hanging between the trees, which was a fun little detail to look at.
On top of that, pretty Christmas trees and seasonal decorations were already spread all around the café, so it was perfect for photos with a year-end mood!
Is parking and getting to Doasis easy?
Doasis has a large dedicated parking lot for up to 140 cars, so parking was really convenient. When you come with a child or on a weekend date, a cramped lot tires you out before you even start, but there was no such worry. It's in Deokjeong, close to GTX-C Deokjeong Station, so access by public transport or car is excellent.
Why I recommend going when it opens
Doasis is such a popular hot spot that I strongly recommend arriving early, right at opening! When it's less crowded, you can take photos freely without other visitors getting in the frame, and you get a much wider choice of freshly baked bread.
Is Doasis dog-friendly? The 4th-floor rooftop dog park
Great news for dog owners! On the 4th floor, the top of the Doasis building, there's a wide rooftop dog park where dogs can run around freely. The regular café space (floors 2 and 3) and the dog-only space (4th floor) are neatly separated, so other guests can stay comfortable and owners can enjoy time with their pups without feeling self-conscious.
High chairs and a nursing room for families with kids
Doasis also thoughtfully provides high chairs, a dedicated nursing room (suyu-sil) and group seating for parents visiting with small children, making it a great retreat for families.

What did we eat at Doasis? The best breads and drinks
Doasis is a Yangju bakery café and brunch café where you can enjoy about 50 kinds of bread baked daily, good coffee beans, brunch, and even pizza and beer. There were so many tasty breads that I agonized for a long time, then ordered mostly the best-sellers.

Strawberry latte
The strawberry latte was packed with plenty of Korean-made strawberry syrup, and the sweet, fresh strawberry flavor was the best.

Signature Yukjjok garlic bread
As a signature bread should be, the Yukjjok garlic bread (six-clove garlic bread) was moist and chewy, stuffed with sweet-salty garlic sauce and cream. I couldn't stop eating it!

Chocolate cream bun topped with pecans
The chocolate cream bun has smooth chocolate sauce inside a rich chocolate bun, and the chocolate coating on top plus the nutty pecans made it a perfect sugar boost!

The drinks were delicious too and the bakery quality is really great, so bread lovers can't just walk past this place.

Who is Doasis in Yangju recommended for?
Doasis is a big Yangju café where you get a botanical-garden mood, Jeju vibes and a unique converted-bathhouse concept all at once! The wide, clean space, the variety of bread, the rooftop dog park for your cute pup and the easy parking were all perfect. I strongly recommend it for a weekend outing, a family meal or a date!
