Gyeongju takeout dessert shop with castella-dusted fruit mochi
Tareudang is a takeout-only fruit mochi dessert shop on Hwangnidang-gil in Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk, open 11:00-19:00 with no parking. On a Friday at 1pm the fig, mango, and peach yogurt mochi were coated in castella crumbs instead of the usual starch, and even the smallest fig mochi was bigger than an adult woman's fist. A cooler bag with an ice pack costs 1,000 won, or free with a Naver receipt review, so Tareudang's mochi travels well as a gift.
