Weekday lunch with mom at Boriook Main Branch, a Suwon barley rice

Boriook Main Branch is a barley rice (bori-bap) Korean restaurant with a self-serve side dish bar in Mangpo, Suwon. Visiting on a weekday at 11am with mom, the writer ordered the mackerel set (half fish) for ₩15,000 and the grilled soy sauce pork set for ₩16,000, piling on namul (seasoned vegetables), japchae, and fritters to mix into the barley rice. With free refills of barley and white rice and food that came out fast, it made for a satisfying, neat Korean meal.
