Hongdae pasta restaurant with an elevator: bunny rigatoni at Brivit

I heard there's a quirky, adorable pasta place near Hongik Univ. Station and rushed right over. It's Brivit Hongdae Yeonnam (브리비트 연남점)!! It's great for a date, and just as perfect for a family outing with kids. A real Hongdae favorite.

If a place were only recommended for tasty food, it wouldn't stand out from the rest. What impressed me about Brivit is that every single dish has a bit of cuteness added.

Where is Brivit Hongdae Yeonnam? Location, hours and parking

Brivit Hongdae Yeonnam is at 93 Woldeukeopbuk-ro 2-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, on the 2nd floor, and it's open every day from 11:30 to 21:15 with no days off. There's no parking, so you'll need to use a nearby public car park.

It's a 3-minute walk from Exit 2 of Hongik Univ. Station, so you could call it a real station-area find.

Brivit Hongdae Yeonnam atmosphere: is it easy to visit with kids?

The restaurant is on the 2nd floor, but the building has an elevator, so elderly guests and children can eat here without any hassle.

The interior isn't huge, but I actually liked that size. It has a brunch café feel, great for chatting with people you haven't seen in a while 😊 The window seats are popular, so they were completely full.

You get sunshine and a dose of vitamin D, so it seems like a really nice spot 😁

The self-service bar is simple. There's a spot to charge your phone, basic utensils, side dishes, and water.

There are usage instructions so first-timers can use it easily.

What to order at Brivit Hongdae Yeonnam: the Beat Set for two

Looking at the menu, I understood why Brivit is loved as a Hongdae date spot. The sets for two show up first at good-value prices, so I really recommend a set menu if it's your first visit~!

Hopping Bunny Pasta: a mozzarella bunny on rigatoni

The first dish out was the Hopping Bunny Pasta (깡충깡충 토끼 파스타)! The cute bunny is made from mozzarella cheese, olives and carrot, such a nice detail 👍👍 And the pasta isn't the long thin noodle we usually see but rigatoni (short tube pasta), so even first-timers can eat it without hesitation!!

Spicy jambon risotto: thick, creamy and hard to stop eating

Second was the spicy jambon (ham) risotto. Personally I'm more of a rice person than a noodle person, and this one is thick and spicy, the kind of heat you keep going back for. The almonds sprinkled on top are nutty, and the texture really impressed me.

Greek yogurt tomato salad: the basil sauce makes it

The last dish I'll introduce... is the Greek yogurt tomato salad. You can't really see it in the photo, but there's basil sauce underneath, and it's honestly the kicker 😮😮😮 The thick, nutty Greek yogurt goes wonderfully with the sauce. The purple sweet potato on top is crispy, and the lightly cooked tomatoes are not bad either.

How much does a meal for two at Brivit Hongdae Yeonnam cost?
