Korean BBQ dinner after golf in Dongtan, Hwaseong: Grill the Terrace
In short
Grill the Terrace Dongtan Main Branch is a Korean charcoal BBQ restaurant specializing in hanwoo beef on the 1st floor of Megabox Dongtan in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi, and a handy dinner spot after a round at Rivera CC or Giheung CC or after a movie. A couple shared the 600g Uiseong garlic mixed platter of pork belly and beef short ribs for 47,000 won, adding mul-naengmyeon (cold noodles in broth) for 4,000 won and hot-stone kkakdugi fried rice for 5,000 won. Thanks to coffee-tree charcoal and frequent grill changes, the garlic-marinated meat at Grill the Terrace stayed juicy, and with 19 tables seating up to 20, it also suits company dinners and family gatherings.

I went out for dinner with my husband. We were looking for a place to enjoy Dongtan pork belly and beef in one sitting and found 'Grill the Terrace Dongtan Main Branch.' It's a Korean beef charcoal BBQ restaurant on the 1st floor of Megabox Dongtan that's become word-of-mouth famous as a Dongtan beef spot near North Plaza. Let's get into the review.

Location and hours of Grill the Terrace Dongtan Main Branch
Grill the Terrace Dongtan Main Branch is on the 1st floor of Megabox Dongtan, open Monday to Saturday 11:30–23:00 with last order at 22:00, and closed every Sunday. It's close to Dongtan Central Park, Time Terrace, and CGV Dongtan, so it's a perfect stop for dinner after a movie. I heard golfers from Libera CC, Sangnok CC, and Giheung CC often stop by here after a round too.

Walking into the restaurant, the quiet, clean atmosphere really stood out.

How many people can group seating hold?
With 19 tables total accommodating groups of 4, 8, 12, and 20, it's a great space for group bookings or family gatherings. I'd strongly recommend it as a dinner spot for anyone looking for Dongtan beef near North Plaza.

Menu and side dishes at Grill the Terrace Dongtan Main Branch
The menu includes Korean beef sirloin, pork ribs, Uiseong garlic mix, Korean beef tartare, whole-potato beef soup, steamed egg, stone-pot kkakdugi fried rice, and cold noodles.

There's also beef tartare bibimbap and soybean paste stew.

Basic side dishes like kimchi, pickled radish, seasoned bean sprouts, and pickled garlic come out neatly arranged too.

Uiseong garlic mix 600g for ₩47,000: pork belly and beef short ribs on one table
The Uiseong garlic mix 600g is ₩47,000, with milmyeon cold noodles for dessert at ₩4,000 and stone-pot kkakdugi fried rice at ₩5,000.
We ordered the Uiseong garlic mix. It's seasoned with Uiseong's six-clove garlic, of which only 1% of domestic garlic is selected for this grade. Since it's a mixed platter with both pork belly and beef short ribs, it was great being able to enjoy two things at once on the table.

Coffee-tree charcoal and grill swaps
The core of Grill the Terrace is that they use top-grade coffee-tree charcoal.
The strong heat locks in the meat's natural juices in a short time, so you get meat with a deep charcoal aroma and juices that are still bursting.
They also cleared away any burnt residue and swapped the grill right away, so we always got to eat off a clean surface, which I really appreciated. It also added trust knowing a chef with 30 years of experience cooking at a major hospital personally handles the ingredient prep and hygiene.
The aroma rising as the Uiseong garlic marinade caramelized over the charcoal was seriously so good.
With the garlic-marinated pork belly, the deep garlic aroma of the Uiseong six-clove garlic really soaked into the meat, and grilled over charcoal, the outside turned golden while the inside stayed juicy and bursting with flavor.

The moment I picked up a piece and the garlic aroma spread, I could tell this garlic-marinated version was genuinely a standout among Dongtan pork belly options.

The beef short ribs were amazing too.
The signature savoriness of the ribs blended with the garlic aroma for a really deep flavor.

Finishing with milmyeon at ₩4,000 and stone-pot kkakdugi fried rice at ₩5,000
We also ordered milmyeon cold noodles, and eating a bite here and there between rounds of meat gave our palates a refreshing reset.

The broth was clean and the noodles had a nice springy chew — cold noodles at a BBQ place really are delicious.

We finished with the stone-pot kkakdugi fried rice. You could taste that everything, from the seasonings to the side dishes, was made in-house rather than from pre-made products, right down to this fried rice.

The rice fried golden on the stone plate, combined with the tangy, savory kkakdugi, made for a delicious last spoonful.
