Handmade gyoza and stone-plate jjamppong set in Paju: Dolpanseok

Dolpanseok Jjamppong Paju Simhaksan Branch is a stone-plate jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) restaurant in the Simhaksan restaurant alley on Dolgotgi-gil in Paju, Gyeonggi. After shopping at Lotte Outlet on a rainy day, the writer ordered the stone-plate jjamppong (medium) + donchitang set for 42,000 won and handmade gyoza dumplings for 8,000 won, then used the unlimited rice self-serve bar and the dessert corner. The broth soaking into the noodles like a stir-fried jjamppong, plus the nurungji (crispy scorched rice) layered on the bottom of the stone plate, is what makes Dolpanseok worth the trip.
