We ordered two Premium Sushi Sets (₩25,900 each), just like this!

What comes in the Premium Sushi Set (₩25,900)?
The Premium Sushi Set at Sushi Doku The Songdo comes with 10 pieces of sushi plus tempura, mini udon, chawanmushi (savory steamed egg custard) and a salad. The sushi is salmon, flounder, akami (lean tuna), squid, red shrimp, sea bream, snow crab, sweet shrimp, eel and ankimo (monkfish liver).
It looks insanely good… 🤎 For a spread like this in the ₩20,000 range, I think it's pretty great.

The "mini" udon is a generous portion
Even though it's the mini udon that comes with the Premium Set, the portion is quite big! The toppings like crown daisy, scallions and fried tofu are generous too, not at all what you'd expect from a mini udon.

A cute Nemo fish cake as a bonus 🐟🧡

Shrimp tempura and karaage
A huge shrimp tempura! Warm and crispy, so delicious. The karaage was juicy and tasty too.

Truffle-scented chawanmushi (steamed egg custard)
Personally, I loved the chawanmushi at Sushi Doku The Songdo 💛 I thought it'd be just a regular chawanmushi, but the truffle aroma hit right away and it was so silky and delicious.

You get a cute individual brush to paint the soy sauce on, which is hygienic and convenient. Big thumbs up!

Which sushi was best? Akami and ankimo
The best thing I ate at Sushi Doku The Songdo that day was the akami nigiri. It's the lean red part of the tuna, yet it had just the right amount of richness that coated my mouth. So good 🤎

The ankimo nigiri was really good too. My boyfriend doesn't normally like ankimo, but he said the ankimo here was rich and nutty and tasty, haha

Sweet shrimp, red snow crab and salmon nigiri
Sweet shrimp nigiri can't really go wrong. The shari (sushi rice) is fairly well seasoned, which went nicely with the sweet shrimp.

The snow crab nigiri 🍣 has the crab meat already picked out, which is great because I usually can't be bothered to pick it myself. A sweet umami flavor comes through.

Can you see how long the salmon is? Haha, it was hidden behind the other sushi so I hadn't noticed, and I was a bit shocked when I saw the length, haha. Thick salmon is the best.

Is there a receipt review event?
When we visited, Sushi Doku The Songdo was giving each guest a premium sushi piece for a Naver receipt review. It's an otoro (fatty tuna belly) nigiri worth ₩6,900 a piece, so definitely join in!
They also say Sushi Doku ranks No. 1 on Naver search among 4,852 sushi shops in Korea and No. 1 nationwide for saves on Baemin (a food delivery app), and that they carefully select the best ingredients available in Korea and prepare them with traditional Japanese aging techniques 🍣
Sushi Doku The Songdo in one line
Sushi Doku The Songdo is a sushi restaurant I'd recommend in Songdo for dates and family gatherings, and also when you're visiting with a child!
