Hanok Dakgalbi is a dakgalbi restaurant in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi, directly opposite the Nami Island ferry terminal. I had spicy Chuncheon dakgalbi with makguksu and flying-fish-roe cheese fried rice, and loved that they even offered water for my dog first. Verdict: a hearty, convenient stop with your pet before or after Nami Island.

Anyang gopchang restaurant with assorted grill and fried rice: Ilmigop

Ilmigop is a gopchang restaurant in Bisan-dong, Anyang, Gyeonggi. I ordered two portions of assorted grilled intestines and 1.5 portions of fried rice, with plenty of vegetables cooked in the gopchang fat. Verdict: a deeply satisfying meal that made me wonder why I had gone so long without gopchang.
