Songdo Hyundai Outlet Italian restaurant: caponata lunch, Salerno

I stopped by Salerno Songdo Onesta, a well-known spot near the Songdo Hyundai Outlet, while shopping! The atmosphere is lovely and the food is great, so it's perfect for a date or a family gathering 💕

Salerno Songdo Onesta: location, opening hours and parking

Salerno Songdo Onesta is on the 3rd floor of the Songdo Onesta building at 157 Songdo-gukjedae-ro, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. It's open 11:00–21:30, with a break time on weekdays from 15:00 to 17:00. Free parking is available for 3 hours.

Park in the Songdo Onesta building and head up to the 3rd floor to find the elegant-looking Salerno Songdo Onesta.

As of September 2026, they're running an all-day event letting you enjoy the lunch course for just 1,000 won, plus a free kids' event where children make their own pizza and bake it in the wood-fired oven — great for family gatherings with little ones :)

What's the atmosphere like at Salerno Songdo Onesta?

The restaurant is very spacious and decorated in an elegant style. With soft lighting and a great mood, it's also a good spot for a date or a blind date~~!

Events running at Salerno during my visit

Salerno, a popular spot near the Songdo Hyundai Outlet, was running various events at the time of my visit. Write a Naver receipt review and you get a free gelato!! On September 30th there was also an event letting you try Salerno's 6 different wood-fired pizzas, so keep that in mind :) (contact the store for details)

Salerno lunch course and seasonal limited sets

Salerno's seasonal limited special sets — couple set, family set, and party set — are quite good value. Also, ordering the lunch course gets you a course-style meal with soup + ade + main dish + coffee, so check the applicable menu and definitely go for the lunch course haha.

What I ordered: caponata, truffle funghi risotto and scallop vongole

Bread before the meal

First came freshly baked, warm bread. Salerno's bread is literally crispy outside, soft inside! Dipped lightly in the accompanying oil, it was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside — really excellent.

Lunch course soup

The soup that came with the lunch course was also nutty and warm, doing its job perfectly to open up the appetite before the main meal :)

What is caponata?

Caponata (an Italian eggplant dish) is eaten by pairing sweet-and-sour eggplant with wood-fired-oven bread! You might not be familiar with caponata — honestly, this was my first time trying it too, and I was surprised how much more delicious it was than I expected(!!)

First, you tear the warm bread into bite-sized pieces~ then top it with vegetables like eggplant, olives, and tomatoes tossed in a tangy oil sauce, and it's a perfect match. The wood-fired dough was very soft and chewy, and the tangy sauce and vegetables wrapped around my mouth in a way that kept me coming back for more. Thanks to Salerno, I discovered this wonderful dish called caponata....💕

Truffle funghi risotto

True to its name, this truffle funghi risotto had a strong truffle aroma and flavor. I usually love truffle so I ordered it, and as expected it wasn't greasy at all — nutty with a deep truffle taste. This was my favorite dish > <

Salerno's truffle risotto is especially packed with big, chunky mushrooms, giving it a great chewy texture~ If you're a mushroom lover, you should try this at least once haha.

Scallop vongole

The scallop vongole came out too! Is it really okay to put in this much clam and scallop....ㅠ It was generously packed with fresh clams and scallops, rich in umami, with plenty of oil sauce.

The noodles had just the right chewy texture, so I enjoyed it thoroughly :)

Is Salerno Songdo Onesta worth it? Final verdict

I got to enjoy an excellent, great-value Italian dining experience at Salerno near the Songdo Hyundai Outlet 👍 The tableware was pretty, the interior was elegant, and the staff were kind — a satisfying spot in many ways.

I heard their pizza is famous too, so next time I'd love to come back for the wood-fired pizza haha. If you're looking for a good restaurant near the Songdo Hyundai Outlet, I highly recommend giving this place a visit. > <
