Braised galbi-jjim for two on a weekend lunch: Useum Pangyo Branch
Useum Pangyo Branch is a Korean restaurant and bar five minutes on foot from Exit 2 of Pangyo Station in Seongnam, Gyeonggi. A couple visited on a weekend at 2pm and ordered braised short ribs (galbi-jjim) for 56,000 won plus two bowls of rice, and the meat was so tender it pulled apart with chopsticks, the sauce neither too sweet nor too salty. The dish took about 20 minutes to arrive, running past the free 1-hour parking, so it's worth calling ahead to order.
