Manpo Garden is a large, newly opened pork galbi restaurant on Godeok-ro 355beon-gil in Yangju, Gyeonggi. On a weekday evening after work, the meal was two servings of handmade Korean pork galbi (250g, 19,000 won each), yukhoe bibimbap (15,000 won) and chadol doenjang jjigae (6,000 won); the charcoal burned so hot that the first rack charred, while frequent flipping saved the second. Pan-fried beef and beef tartare arrive as standard side dishes, and free dessert naengmyeon, ice-cup iced coffee and ppeongtwigi ice cream make Manpo Garden a generous after-work pick.
