Yangju pork galbi restaurant with ice-cup iced coffee: Manpo Garden
In short
Manpo Garden is a large, newly opened pork galbi restaurant on Godeok-ro 355beon-gil in Yangju, Gyeonggi. On a weekday evening after work, the meal was two servings of handmade Korean pork galbi (250g, 19,000 won each), yukhoe bibimbap (15,000 won) and chadol doenjang jjigae (6,000 won); the charcoal burned so hot that the first rack charred, while frequent flipping saved the second. Pan-fried beef and beef tartare arrive as standard side dishes, and free dessert naengmyeon, ice-cup iced coffee and ppeongtwigi ice cream make Manpo Garden a generous after-work pick.

Manpo Garden in Yangju: a pork galbi dinner straight after work
Manpo Garden is a pork galbi restaurant that just recently (?) opened big and new on Godeok-ro 355beon-gil in Yangju. Manpo Galbi — I've been a few times in Uijeongbu and Yangju! It's close to where I work out, so I kept thinking I should stop by, and finally went after work for some pork galbi 〰️

Manpo Garden, a Yangju restaurant known for good galbi ✅Hours: daily 11:00–22:00 ✅On-site parking ✅Group seating/private rooms available Rooms can seat 8 to 32 people apparently The restaurant was really clean and spacious

What is Manpo Garden's dining hall like at 5:30pm on a weekday?
The Manpo Garden dining hall is pretty spacious, and the window seats have floor-to-ceiling glass looking out on green trees, which felt airy and not stuffy at all 〰️ I visited on a weekday evening, around 5:30pm, and there were already people eating, and as it got closer to peak dinner time even more customers came in despite it being a weekday — wow, popular, I thought. There's always a reason places are this popular!

Manpo Garden menu and prices: what we ordered
Manpo Garden has pork galbi, but also flame-grilled hanwoo (Korean beef) bulgogi, hanwoo sirloin, pork belly, pork shoulder, pork skirt, and pork jowl — everything from beef to pork.
- Handmade Korean pork galbi 250g ₩19,000 — ordered 2 servings
- Yukhoe bibimbap (raw beef tartare rice bowl) ₩15,000
- Chadol doenjang jjigae (beef brisket soybean paste stew) ₩6,000
✔️We still ordered what I'd call Manpo Garden's signature(?) haha — two servings of handmade Korean pork galbi plus yukhoe bibimbap and chadol doenjang jjigae, and came away good and full!

Side dishes at Manpo Garden include yukjeon and yukhoe
The side dishes come out completely loaded at this Yangju pork galbi favorite, Manpo Garden 💗 From salads to kimchi varieties, plus pan-fried beef (yukjeon) and beef tartare (yukhoe) as basic side dishes! The cucumber peppers were tasty, I love the sweet pumpkin salad too, and honestly all the side dishes were good, so you can just start inhaling them before the meat even arrives 〰️

Hehe, wrapping the beef tartare in the pan-fried beef like this is so good! Next time I should try seasoning yukhoe and pan-frying beef at home myself...!!!! (someday)

The charcoal runs hot, so flip the galbi often
Two servings of pork galbi. Manpo Garden's charcoal runs quite strong, so you really need to flip the pork galbi often to keep it from burning!!! We burned it a bit lol, and ended up snipping off all the burnt parts with scissors. At Manpo Garden you have to grill the meat yourself!

Yukhoe bibimbap and chadol doenjang jjigae together
Wow, the yukhoe bibimbap — the extra seasoning made it even better! It went great with the pork galbi too, and yukhoe bibimbap paired well with the doenjang jjigae. My boyfriend said the seasoning taste and ratio were just right, super delicious, and cleaned his whole bowl.

We usually really enjoy the chadol doenjang sulbap (fried rice) when we come, but this time we ordered yukhoe bibimbap instead, so we just got the plain chadol doenjang jjigae! Rich, savory doenjang jjigae, so good 〰️〰️

Piling pork galbi on top of the yukhoe bibimbap and eating it with the doenjang jjigae — yum!

For the second rack we were super careful not to burn it. Flipping it constantly, we grilled it well without burning it this time ✌️

Free dessert naengmyeon and ice-cup iced coffee at Manpo Garden
One perk of Manpo Garden in Yangju is that the dessert service is also generous. You can normally get free dessert naengmyeon (cold noodles), but we were too full to eat it! Totally a steal. And while plenty of places have coffee machines, have you ever seen a place that sets out an ice cup so you can make iced coffee yourself!!!! Getting free iced Americano after your meal makes this Yangju pork galbi favorite, Manpo Garden, the best 👏🏻

Haha, and then there's our favorite dessert, ppeongtwigi ice cream (puffed rice cracker with ice cream)!!!!!! You get to pile on as much ice cream as you want on top of the puffed rice cracker 〰️〰️ Isn't that amazing! Great side dishes, tasty pork galbi, free dessert naengmyeon, and even free iced coffee and ppeongtwigi ice cream for dessert — this Yangju pork galbi favorite, Manpo Garden, pours on the service. Come here for a hearty meat meal 💗
