Oi Samgyetang Bucheon Main Branch is a samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) restaurant near Sangdong Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi. A couple worn out by a chilly changeover season and a same-day endoscopy shared two bowls of herbal mung bean samgyetang, finishing the savory mung bean broth, tender chicken breast, porridge and even the crispy rice scorched at the bottom of the pot. It's the kind of place to remember on a day you need one steaming bowl to feel human again.

Dog-friendly duck grill in Siheung with charcoal duck and potato sides

Grill Duck Hangari Barbecue is a duck restaurant on Beoman-ro in Siheung, Gyeonggi, about a 10-minute walk from Starfield Bucheon, with free dedicated parking and dog-friendly seating. Visiting on a Saturday evening with two kids, the writer ordered the half-and-half duck (raw duck + marinated duck) for ₩54,000, grilling raw duck over charcoal and stir-frying marinated duck on a hot plate, plus complimentary duck bone soup, self-serve side dishes, and an order of potato sides. The mild raw duck won over the kids while the spicy marinated duck satisfied the adults, making it a solid pick for a family meal.
