Barley rice buffet with a mother-of-pearl wall in Suwon: Boriook

Boriook Main Branch is an all-you-can-eat barley rice Korean buffet in Yeongtong, near Mangpo Station in Suwon. The barley rice set costs 13,000 won, and it comes with a self-serve bar of namul (seasoned vegetables), acorn jelly, japchae (stir-fried glass noodles) and vegetable fritters to mix into the rice, plus a doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) that tastes close to cheonggukjang, and yulmu-cha (adlay tea) with ppeongtwigi (puffed rice cakes) at the end. With one wall covered in mother-of-pearl inlay and a small lot right in front of the building, Boriook Main Branch is a solid pick for a filling meal built around barley rice and namul.
