Tom yum goong pho with wontons for a family lunch in Suwon: Madam Hao
Madam Hao is a Vietnamese pho restaurant run by Vietnamese owners in the Ajou University restaurant strip in Suwon, Gyeonggi. Before a family outing to Gyeonggi Library, the writer and the kids had beef brisket pho, which came with no cilantro and plenty of scallions so the broth tasted like gomtang (Korean beef bone soup), and tom yum goong pho packed with sweet-tasting wontons. With an open kitchen and parking for about 4 cars, Madam Hao made for an easy weekend lunch with children.
