Namyangju Korean BBQ for three generations: 2002 Witch's Arpeggio
In short
2002 Witch's Arpeggio is a Korean barbecue restaurant in Namyangju, Gyeonggi, set beside a creek and mountains. Three generations of one family shared tomato-marinated pork belly, potato pancake, and pollock roe scorched-rice pot fried rice. A lovely pick for a relaxed family meal surrounded by nature.

A family meal after a drive near Seoul
I was looking for somewhere near Seoul where we could enjoy a drive and have a delicious meal together as a family, so we visited 2002 Witch's Arpeggio (2002 마녀의 아르페지오). I liked it even more because it was a good place to bring my parents and visit with three generations of the family. In lovely weather like this, we could leisurely enjoy the creek, mountains, cool breeze, and birdsong all in one place, so it was healing not only for the food but for the atmosphere too. 🌿🍃

Witch's jar-aged tomato-marinated pork belly
The menu I was most excited for here was the Witch's jar-aged tomato-marinated pork belly. Its name alone was different from the pork belly I usually eat, so I was curious what it would taste like—and after trying it myself, it was definitely something special. 😋

Eating the nicely browned pork belly with the tomato marinade added a tangy, savory flavor that really brought out the meat. Halfway through, we tried it with cheese too. 🧀 Actually, my niece can't handle spicy food well and doesn't even like cheese, but she ate this cheese really well. Haha.

The nutty, creamy flavor of the cheese completed another great combination. If you're looking for something beyond ordinary pork belly, this is a place worth remembering for tomato-marinated pork belly. 👍

Side dishes and jeonbyeong with the meat
The side dishes that came with it were impossible to overlook too. The tomato kimchi and perilla-leaf oil jang were especially delicious. 🍅

🌿 Wrapping the meat and sides in jeonbyeong (thin Korean wheat pancakes) brought together tangy and fragrant flavors for a real treat. After having a piece of meat and then another wrap, I kept reaching for more.

Crispy-chewy potato pancake and fried rice
The Witch's crispy-outside, chewy-inside potato pancake we ordered as a side was truly crispy on the outside, just as its name promised! It crunched nicely while staying chewy inside, so it went well with the meat, and my family enjoyed it too.

To finish, we ordered the pollock roe-loaded scorched-rice cauldron fried rice too. 🍚 The salty, savory depth of the roe combined with the nutty flavor and texture unique to nurungji (scorched rice), and it was so delicious. Once we had this too, we were seriously full. 😂 We ate properly from beginning to end that day.

A meal outdoors beside the creek
More than anything, I think the fun of eating outdoors is extra special in a season like this. 🌳 Sitting beside the creek and looking at the mountains, there was a cool breeze and the sound of birds—a kind of leisure that's hard to feel in the city. The food was delicious, but I especially loved being able to enjoy a slow meal surrounded by nature. That's why I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an outdoor Korean BBQ spot in Namyangju too.

It seems especially well suited to a family meal with parents and children, or a driving route near Seoul. 🚗💨 With delicious tomato-marinated pork belly plus the creek, mountains, breeze, and birdsong to enjoy, it was a great Namyangju Korean BBQ restaurant for three generations of our family to have a leisurely meal together after a long time.
If you want to try special pork belly, I recommend the tomato-marinated pork belly at 2002 Witch's Arpeggio. 🥩🍅 Being able to enjoy delicious food and unhurried time in nature made it all the more memorable. 💕
