In short
Sushi Doku The Songdo is a sushi set-meal restaurant on the 2nd floor of Onesta Mall in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. A weekend that was perfect for enjoying the autumn weather 🩷 Before a date-slash-shopping trip to the Songdo Hyundai Premium Outlet, we stopped by a Songdo restaurant favorite, Sushi Doku The Songdo, to fill up first!

🔎 157 Songdo-gukjedaero, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, on the 2nd floor of Onesta Mall — an Incheon sushi spot tucked inside the mall!
Even first-time visitors could find it easily once they spotted the building, and since it's close to the Songdo Hyundai Premium Outlet and Triple Street, it's a great pick for a meal before or after shopping 🤧

How long was the weekend lunch wait at Sushi Doku The Songdo?
⏰ Waiting status
I'd read reviews saying Sushi Doku The Songdo fills up fast even on weekdays, and sure enough, there was a wait when we visited on a weekend at lunchtime 🥲 There's a waitlist kiosk near the entrance, so I'd recommend registering as soon as you arrive ‼️

Inside Sushi Doku The Songdo: atmosphere and seating
🪵 The vibe
The wood-toned interior gave the place a cozy feel, and there was enough separation between tables that you didn't have to worry much about the tables around you!

A Songdo restaurant that felt just right for family meals out, dates, or group gatherings — that's Sushi Doku.

💕 What we ordered
We went with two premium sushi sets! Rather than sticking to one kind of sushi, we wanted to try several varieties along with the included sides, so we didn't hesitate to order the premium sushi set 😆

What comes in the ₩25,900 premium sushi set: all 10 pieces
🍱 Premium sushi set lineup
- 🐟 Salmon
- 🐟 Flounder
- 🐟 Akami (lean tuna)
- 🐟 Squid
- 🐟 Red shrimp
- 🐟 Sea bream
- 🐟 Snow crab meat
- 🐟 Sweet shrimp
- 🐟 Eel
- 🐟 Ankimo (monkfish liver)
Everything arrives beautifully arranged on one tray — sushi plus the sides that come with the set — so the visuals alone made my mouth water 🤤 Since every piece is a different kind, there's real fun in trying them one by one. If you're looking for an Incheon sushi spot, I'd recommend coming here for a set meal like this!

Beyond the usual salmon and flounder, the premium sushi set was far more generous than expected, with lean tuna, squid, sweet shrimp and ankimo too.

Brushing on the soy sauce instead of dipping
✨ The most memorable part: the soy sauce brush
The fun detail at Sushi Doku The Songdo was that a dedicated brush was provided so you could paint soy sauce directly onto the sushi. Instead of dipping the sushi into soy sauce, you use the brush to apply it, so you don't lose any rice grains, and honestly it felt like a slightly more special way to eat sushi..? 🖌️

How did the premium sushi set taste?
🧡 Tasting notes
The most familiar pieces — salmon and flounder sushi! The rice-to-fish ratio was well balanced, so nothing felt off, and it was easy to enjoy the clean, light flavor and texture.

The lean tuna belly sushi, plus the red shrimp and sweet shrimp! The tuna surprised me by not being too oily — clean-tasting instead. And the shrimp sushi — if you like shrimp, there's no way you won't love this. The subtle sweetness and soft texture made it stand out clearly from the rest 🦐💕

Ankimo (monkfish liver) sushi at Sushi Doku The Songdo
Ankimo sushi, made from monkfish liver! (Anyone who's cooked with it knows — ankimo is a surprisingly tricky ingredient to work with..) It had a rich, savory quality completely different from regular fish sushi. If you like that kind of deep flavor, this is right up your alley, and if you've never tried it before, it could be a genuinely new taste experience!

Sides with the set: udon, karaage, fried shrimp and steamed egg
- 🥗 Salad
- 🍮 Japanese-style steamed egg (chawanmushi)
- 🍗 Chicken karaage
- 🍤 Fried shrimp
- 🍜 Udon
All the sides that came alongside the sushi — since the set lets you eat a whole range of dishes both before and after the sushi, it's genuinely filling as one meal. Even a grown man would find the portion pretty generous..

Verdict: worth a meal before or after outlet shopping in Songdo?
With mouthwash, floss and even toothpicks laid out, Sushi Doku The Songdo felt thoughtful down to the smallest detail. Being close to malls like the outlet and Triple Street makes it convenient for a meal before or after shopping, and since it's near Technopark Station, it seemed like a great pick for meeting up in Songdo in general.
If you're craving sushi in Songdo, I'd recommend visiting Sushi Doku The Songdo for one of their generous set meals with sushi and sides included 🖌️🍣
