Two pork dishes with a coworker at lunch: Boriook Main Branch, Suwon
Boriook Main Branch is a barley rice and side-dish buffet Korean restaurant near Mangpo Station in Yeongtong, Suwon. Visiting with a coworker around 1pm, the writer ordered a gochujang pork set and a soy sauce pork set from the kiosk, then piled namul (seasoned vegetable sides) from the salad bar into a big bowl to mix with gochujang and sesame oil. Mild, additive-free sides, a savory doenjang stew, freshly fried vegetables, and a dessert of ppeongtwigi (puffed rice snacks) made for a satisfying, good-value lunch.
