Pohang mulhoe restaurant with minced cheongyang chili: Ppwang Mulhoe
Ppwang Mulhoe is an ocean-view mulhoe (cold raw fish soup) restaurant in the Seolmeori Mulhoe district in front of Yeongildae Beach in Pohang, Gyeongbuk. Stopping in for lunch on a business trip, the writer ordered the half-and-half mulhoe for 20,000 won and the squid pancake for 15,000 won, then mixed in minced cheongyang chili and thin wheat noodles from the self bar. Between a self bar stocked with noodles, tteokbokki and squid soup and the terrace looking out to the sea, Ppwang Mulhoe made for a filling, well-rounded meal.
