Ulju, Ulsan bakery café at 11am with a baby: fresh bread tables at MUG

MUG is a large bakery café with a charred-wood exterior on Hyangsandagae-ro in Ulju, Ulsan. Returning with a baby and a stroller, the writer found a separate diaper-changing room beside the restroom, baby chairs and tables spaced far enough apart for a stroller, and arriving on a weekday at 11am meant the bread tables were full, with fresh ciabatta coming out around 11:30. The apple cinnamon roll and the organic Hadong matcha latte were not too sweet, so adults enjoyed them as much as the kids.

Garlic bok choy side at a Marine City Chinese restaurant: Bueokgan

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is a 100-pyeong Chinese restaurant on the second floor of The Sharp Adelisse commercial building in Marine City, Haeundae, Busan. On a weekday lunch visit with a baby, the writer ordered the weekday lunch set — poached-egg ganjajang, beef brisket jjamppong and 200g tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) — and added garlic-fried bok choy. Wide spacing between tables, a high chair and a Dongbaekseom sea view made Bueokgan an easy lunch spot with a baby.
